Description
The visual fault locator / laser source is used to detect defects on already laid fiber optic cables.
The breaks or faults in the fiber refract the light and leads it outside, so that a clearly visible red point of light marks the respective faulty spot.
The universal connection can be used for the common fiber optic connectors ST / SC / FC. For other connector types, such as LC/PC, our Hybrid-Adapter can be used (e.g. SC Male to LC female), listed in the bottom.
The device is suitable for both singlemode as well as multimode fibers and can be used anywhere due to its small dimensions and low weight. The fault detection is possible up to a distance of 5 km, depending on the type and qulity of the fiber. The output signal can be switched on Continuous Wave or Pulse Mode (2 Hz).
The locator has a protection cap, which prevents dust from getting inside the transmitter. The protection cap also prevents you from accidentally exposing your eyes to the direct laser beam.
